Shortly after returning to the US following three years living abroad, I went on a national park road trip with the same friends I met up with in Paris over winter break. It’s hard for me to tell where every single individual photo was taken because we visited Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Glacier, and the North Cascades in the United States as well as Banff up in Canada, and the photos have jumbled over time. So this post is more of a photo dump!

A lot of the photos below are most likely from Glacier National Park, which was my favorite of the parks we visited.

It was sad to see how much the Glaciers had shrunk over the years, but I was thankful to get to experience it at all.

These photos were definitely taken in Canada!

It was so nice to just sit and take in the view as boats sailed around in the distance and children played along the shoreline.

Conclusion
This was an epic trip and not just because of the ground covered. We saw moose, bison, and I apparently slept through a cougar scare at one poorly-kept campsite where our neighbors left food out on their picnic table overnight!
When it comes to travel, I’m a big dreamer. Sometimes I know I have a travel plan in mind, but I also know that it is years out on the horizon. One such dream is to get a small RV and spend lots of time getting familiar with my country’s stunning national parks. This dream is probably at least five years away (maybe more like 10), but if the slow burn of some of my previous travel dreams have taught me anything, it’s that I’ll do it when the time is right 😉
Here’s a video of me being silly to close out:
