I booked a round-trip flight to San Francisco, arriving and departing on the same day. I spent most of the day-trip walking around on foot. My original plan was to rent a bike, but the hills of the city sufficiently intimidated me. As much as I love biking, I walk hills like it’s an Olympic sport and bike hills like…well, I don’t. I get off the bike and walk it up hills lol.

I really enjoyed getting lost in the little (and likely astronomically expensive) neighborhoods of San Francisco. It was nice to see the homes that still hadn’t taken their Christmas decorations down and spot Alcatraz from a far, although I opted out of visiting it for this trip. I ate in Chinatown and thoroughly enjoyed the Cable Car Museum.

It was also great getting to see the iconic Golden Gate Bridge from different view points as I crept closer and closer to it. Plus, it was a beautiful day and the high spirits of those around me was palpable. I also snagged some postcards and took a Waymo, a self-driving car. I was tickled by getting to say “I have officially taken a Waymo in every state that its available in,” …because it’s only available in two states *^.^*

If I ever find super cheap flights to San Francisco again, I’ll definitely go. In particular, there are way more restaurants that would be fun to visit!
