Thailand is one of those places that I visited and just knew, “I’ll be back here.” It offers generally easy living, delicious food, and kind people.
This post is mostly going to be about photo memories, but I did kick the trip off by spending time with a college acquaintance who was teaching in Thailand at the time. She helped me to see the city in a way only someone who has been living there for a few years could. After that, I was off on my own for the rest of what was a two-month trip!

Muay Thai
There’s no place like Thailand to view a Muay Thai tournament! The event I saw started with the youngest fighters and went all the way up to adult fighters. I wouldn’t have pictured that a decade later I would become obsessed with practicing the sport myself! Life is funny like that 😀

Hostel hosted fire shows and it was quite the performance.

While I had some personally intense social issues during parts of this trip, those took nothing away from the fact that Thailand itself is a great destination.
