I touched on my trip to the Chilean side of Patagonia in my Argentina post, but I wanted to have a Chile-only post!

It was one of those places that is utterly stunning at every turn. I was able to go on some short trail walks and I took in plenty vistas. If you like the images you see here (and trust me, seeing it in real life is next level!!), you can book the same tour here.

While the ride over was bumpy, I had to select the overland truck option because I was trying to fit everything in. I was digital nomading, but I was still employed by a business and therefore working off of someone else’s time.

This little guy was hanging out near a picnic area and I was trying to snap a photo from a reasonable distance. Unfortunately, a nearby young boy (likely double digits in age) was constantly trying to pester and scare the bird. I’ll be honest…I scolded the kid lol. I couldn’t understand why he was trying to trouble the animal? The bird would just fly to a new area and try to create distance between itself and the boy rather than flying far away.

I took 10-15 minutes to sit alone in this beach area. It was beautiful. The waves were calming and the sights, sounds, and feeling of the wind were so peaceful.

With more time, I would’ve loved to camp somewhere in the park and really soak it all in at a slower pace.
It’s something I think about often. Our time is limited. And there are so many beautiful, peaceful things to experience. Yet the variables of our lives too often require us to use up that time in lieu of truly absorbing these moments. One of my favorite things to do while traveling is to simply sit down as I take in the world around me. I’d like to watch the grass grow. That shouldn’t be too much to ask for.
