Prague in the Winter

Usually cold weather and I don’t mix. However, I was on winter vacation from work in Madrid and found super cheap tickets to Prague, Czech Republic, so I went! Here were some highlights:

Street Art Walking Tour

I primarily enjoy street art that has an emphasis on social commentary. I find that it has a way of conveying the pulse of a city. This walking tour was a great way to hear about the issues facing Czechs at the time. While many locations were closed due to the Christmas vacation, the tour guide was able to point out cool things, such as a shop that only accepted Bitcoin.

Eating like royalty on Christmas day

I was informed that another teacher happened to also be in Prague. When Christmas day rolled around and neither of us had plans, we decided to go exploring. We saw the Lennon Wall and ate at a restaurant where we were served a comical succession of plates. What’s more, it was shockingly affordable.

Overall my time in Prague was cold, but it was a magical time of year to visit and I got the impression that Prague residents are some cool peeps.
